Trout Competition Rules

Rules:

  1. 4 Rods per boat if two or more in boat. (Bye-Law June 2017.)
  2. Fish size 36cm” (Bye-Law June 2017.)
  3. All legal methods from boat allowed.
  4. Starting time for trolling competitions 9:00am.  Finishing 5:00pm. Winter time & 6:00pm Summer Time.
  5. One Point per ounce for each angler in the boat at time of catch during trolling competition.
  6. 100 points awarded to heaviest trout of the year trolling only.
  7. Points awarded to the best six trolling competitions, the best three fish weekdays in May & the best two Sundays in May.
  8. Bag Limit of 2 trout, all other trout must be measured, weighed and witnessed.(AGM Jan. 2010)
  9. Prizes 1st heaviest fish, 2nd heaviest fish, 3rd heaviest fish & juvenile. (AGM Jan.2004)
  10. Any fish under 36cm” weighed in, will disqualify all fish for that member from competition. (Bye-Law June 2017.)
  11. Club competitions entry fee is €10. per boat on the day. Entry fee with name and address to be placed in box provided at Club boathouse on the day, or text entry to secretary or treasurer. entry fees will be used for Competition Prize. One prize per boat
