Competition General Rules

Rules:

  1. Day tickets must be purchased before competition.
  2. Every member on the boat must be a club member or have a day ticket.
  3. Points to be awarded only to members on the boat at time of catch.
  4. It is the obligation of the boat owner to give the names of all those on his boat during weighing ( AGM 2013)
  5. Maximum 3 rods per boat trout trolling competition & 2 rods for pike trolling if alone in boat.
  6. Prizes will not be awarded unless a boat member attends weigh in.
  7. If no fish caught prizes to be raffled unless sponsor requests otherwise.
  8. One prize per person per competition per boat.
  9. If double competition prizes to be given up to 3rd place. (AGM Jan 2005)
  10. Secret weight will be ¼ the weight of winning fish or nearest.
  11. Secret weight winner must attend weigh in otherwise no prize.
  12. Juvenile prize awarded to boat with highest points.
  13. Lateness at weigh-ins not to be more than fifteen minutes.
  14. After last call by weigh master if no reply then no fish can be weighed after this time.
  15. Life jacket or certified buoyancy aid must be worn at all times during competition. Non-compliance may result in disqualification.
  16. All rubbish must be taken home.
  17. Any inaccuracies or disputes must be mentioned to the committee by no later than announcement of prizes. All inaccuracies or disputes must be rectified on the day of the competition. Committee’s decision will be final. (AGM 2013)
  18. All undersized Trout should be returned alive.
  19. Pike should be handled with care.
  20. The use of semi-barb less or barb less hooks is less stressful on fish
  21. In the interest of maintaining our trout stocks catch & release will receive an extra point..
